PHOTOGRAPH · 109 GARDEN BISTRO & BRUNCH
THE LEAD VERDICT
“The garden setting was a photographer's paradise. Climbing roses, vintage furniture, dappled sunlight through a pergola. Every dish arrived on mismatched vintage china that looked gorgeous on camera. Natural light heaven.”
“honestly the interior on cloudy days is quite dark and the vintage aesthetic doesn't photograph as well without natural light. Overcast Edmonton days take away the garden magic and the indoor fallback is less photogenic.”
ALSO FILED
“Great spot for a family brunch. The garden patio let the kids explore while we ate. The French toast was excellent and the kids menu had real options, not jsut chicken fingers. real talk reasonable prices for the quality lol”
“The garden seating is weather-dependent and Edmonton weather is unpredictable. We showed up to a garden brunch in the rain and had to sit inside where it was cramped and dark. No covered patio option.”
“Multiple GF options clearly marked on the menu. the GF waffle was suurprisingly goood with a crispy exterior and fluffy inside. The server was knowledgeable about allergens and confirmed the fryer was dedicated. Safe and delicious idk”
“The GF bread option was a pre-packaged slice that was clearly not house-made!!! When your regular bread is fresh-baked and gorgeous, the GF alternative should try to match. ok but the contrast was stark.”
“109 Garden's cortado was beautifully pulled with a velvety microfoam!!! actually teh beans were from a local Edmonton roaster and teh flavor profile was bright and fruity. The garden patio seating made it feel like a European café.”
“No cold brew or iced coffee options In summer, sitting on the garden patio, a cold coffee option seems obvious Hot espresso is great but sometimes the weather calls for smth chilled.”
