THE LEAD VERDICT
“seriously thier harissa-glazed short ribs had serious heat that built beautifully with each bite and it balanced so perfectly with the cooling yogurt and fresh herbs”
“the supposedly spiced cocktail was just a regular old fashioned with a cinnamon stick for show - no real heat or complexity at all”
ALSO FILED
“finally found a spot in little italy that actually gets middle eastern flavors - their lamb shoulder was perfectly spiced and the owner said everything was halal would reccomend”
“but teh hummus was clearly store-bought not house-made like you'd expect from a place that otherwise nails the mediterranean cuisine”

CONTRIBUTING CRITICS
“tbh teeeh steak was cooked exactly right - simple well-seasoned beef that lets you actually appreciate the quality meat wihtout fancy sauces covering everything up trust me”
“so like some of teh sides were too adventurous for my taste honestly couldnt even identify half the vegetables on the plate and they were underseasoned anyway”
“yo loved seeing so many fresh seasonal vegetables worked in thoughtfully - roasted carrots still had bite and teh greens were clearly sourced locally and picked recently”
“gotta say portions felt kinda excessive given how rich everything is which jsut led to wasting food and that uncomfortable overstuffed feeling”
“the duck leg confit was absolutely ridiculous - crispy skin that shattered at first bite revealing meat so tender it basically dissolved on my tongue”
“tehy ran ouuut of their house-made hot sauce halfway thru service which sucked bc it was clearly the perfect match for everything ha”
“ok but teh contrast in thier tuna crudo is sublime - silky fish against crunchy radish wiht pickled vegetables adding that perfect acidic pop THAT makes your mouth water”
“look teh chocolate dessert was honestly just one-note missing the temperature and textural stuff that would make it go from good to actually memorable”
“their weekend brunch is honestly a revelation - the shakshuka eggs were perfectly runny and the sourdough toast was def made in-house that morning”
“no bottomless mimosas tho which feels like a missed opportunity for a place wiht such a strong brunch thing going on big time”
“literally they marked every gluten-free option clearly on the menu adn the server knew exactly which dishes could be modified - had this incredible quinoa bowl that didnt feel like a consolation prize”
“for reaal teh gluten-free bread they brought out was obviously from a package and served cold which felt lazy compared to the care they put into everything else”
