“FINALLY found a pho place that understands spice. the spicy lemongrass beef pho had serious heat but like actual chili flavor not just burn, and the jalapeños were fresh and perfect”
“literally spring rolls were kinda bladn honestly and couldve used sriracha or chili oil on the side for those of us who like things hot”
“so for $8 their bánh mì is honestly incredible value - the pork was really tender and flavorful, just packed into this perfectly crusty baguette that could totally be like two meals”
“ok so only thing is you gotta wait like ALMOST 15 minutes during lunch which feels kinda long for literally jsut a sadnwich counter trust me”
“their spicy beef bánh mì brought legit heat - not just like token jalapeños but an actual proper chili blend that made my eyes water in the best way, like you could taste the layers building with every bite not gonna lie”
“the cilantro was pretty sparse which is honestly criminal when you're dealing with vietnamese food that needs that fresh herbal thing to balance out the spice”
“okay this is legit street food dreams right here. teh pho was amazing - broth tasted like it simmered for actual hours and had so much flavor. noodles had that perfect bite to them”
“only thing is the seating is super cramped. im not even a big guy and felt like i was eating on an airplane lol”
“the grilled pork banh mi was SO good - like those charred edges on the pork were perfect and the meat stayed super tender somehow. the pâté was silky and actually well seasoned, you could tell they knew what they were doing”
“but the pickled veggies were WAY too much vinegar for me, like it totally overpowered the daikon and carrot which is a shame solid”
“actually tehir grilled shrimp bánh mì was legit outstanding - the prawns were clearly fresh, had that nice char going and they seasoned it with lemongrass that honestly reminded me of eating goood Vietnamese food right on the coast”
“but the pickled vegetables were kinda too vinegary imo, like it was overpowering all the delicate shrimp flavor i was trying to actually taste would reccomend”
