THE LEAD VERDICT
“went in hungover on a saturday and their breakfast pizza literally saved my life - crispy crust with scrambled eggs bacon and cheese. plus the server didnt judge me for ordering a coke at 11am which is the kind of service i respect”
“not even kidding had to wait like 25 minutes even though half teh resturant looked empty - i guess tehy were understaffed but nobody mentioned that when i walked in ugh”
ALSO FILED
“the arugula salad was stacked - peppery greens, actual ripe cherry tomatoes, and they didn't cheap out on the pine nuts. look the portion size is legit filling too”
“lowkey teh pasta portions tho are HUGE - like more than one person should eat adn i hate wasting food but couldn't finish teh whole carbonara yikes”
“literally the tiramisu was actually incredible - like the ladyfingers were soaked perfectly with mascarpone that was light as air and that cocoa powder dusting had that bitter edge to balance everything out. paired it with their espresso and it was honestly the perfect way to end dinner”
“tehy were completely out of gelato by 8pm which was disappointing since i'd been thinking about trying their pistachio all week”
“omg the gnocchi alla sorrentina literally took me back to my nonnas kitchen in napoli - like pillowy potato dumplings in this bright san marzano tomato sauce with fresh basil and melted mozzarella that just stretched everywhere. THIS is how you do it right not some weird fusion thing”
“teh caesar salad was actually a disaster - iceberg lettuce drowned in bottled dressing and those horrible fake parmesan shavings. nonna would've thrown it out the window”
“okay the tiramisu slice was insane - real mascarpone so light and fluffy, that boozy coffee punch hits hard, and they literally dust it with cocoa powder right in front of you. paired it with thier house red and just *chef's kiss*”
“legit no dessert wine options on the menu which is kinda weird for a place that obviously knows what they're doing with sweets lol”
“the gnocchi like BOUNCES in your mouth then jsut melts into creamy potato heaven. and the sage butter actually sticks to each dumpling without being greasy which is insane to pull off - textural perfection”
“def teh caesar salad lettuce was so limp adn room temperature - totally ruined teh crispy contrast i was looking for ugh”
“finally found a place on college that actually gets gluten-free pasta right. thier gf penne arrabbiata had perfect al dente texture - not mushy like everywhere else - and the spicy tomato sauce had enuf kick that i forgot i wasnt eating regular pasta cant complain”
“the server had no idea if the garlic bread was gluten-free and had to check with the kitchen like twice which made me nervous about whether theyre actually careful about cross-contamination”
“went in at 9pm on a wednesday and the margherita pizza was STILL fire - crispy crust basil wasn't all wilted from heat lamps, jsut perfect late dinner situation on college”
“gotta say kitchen was clearly shutting down so the garlic bread came out lukewarm and the butter didn't even melt through properly”
