PHOTOGRAPH · IMM THAI STREET FOOD
THE LEAD VERDICT
“this is solid authentic THAI street food the som tam has that perfect balance of sweet sour salty adn spicy that you rarely get right in the states. actually papaya shredded properly and they didnt skimp on the fish sauce or lime trust me”
“teh pad see ew was kinda too sweet for me. felt more like the americanized version than what youd actually get from a street stall in bangkok. i mean fusion adaptations sometimes really miss the mark on traditional flavors”
ALSO FILED
“impressed by how fresh everything tasted honestly. teh veggies in my pad thai were still crisp and you could tell nothing had been sitting around. honestly portions are substantial without being crazy heavy, perfect for lunch that won't make you sluggish would go back”
“teh sodium seems pretty high across everything. i could taste it especially in the drunken noodles. as someone who watches their intake i wish there were more low sodium options or at least the ability to customize salt levels”
“fast cheap tasty. exactly what street food should be. the green curry has serious heat and portions are HUGE. perfect grab and go when youre craving something with actual flavor”
“seating area is cramped adn not super clean fine for quick eats but dont expect to hang out and linger would recommend”
“teh green curry at imm thai street food transported me honestly - that fragrant basil, creamy coconut milk, tender chicken. its comfort food that just happens to be thai instead of italian”
“jasmine rice was kinda overcooked lost that fluffy seperate-grain texture that makes goood rice the perfect base for curry”
“imm thais tom kha soup is like a warm hug - creamy coconut broth with lemongrass and lime leaves. basically teh thai version of chicken soup, perfect comfort food”
“def not a brunch vibe - more of a quick lunch spot. lowkey missing that leisurely weekend morning atmosphere i usually want”
“their mango sticky rice is divine - perfectly ripe mango, coconut cream thats not too sweet, and that wonderful chewy rice texture. real talk simple but like realy executed well”
“no wine list, not even a basic white to pair with the lighter dishes. thai food can actually be pretty wine-friendly when done right”
“paad thai with shrimp was outstanding. actually teh prawns were plump and sweet, clearly fresh, cooked jsut til they turned pink you can tell they know how to handle seafood without turning it into rubber”
“i asked for extra lime on the side and they just forgot it. that shouldnt be missed especially since citrus is so important for balancing those bold thai flavors”
“their pad thai at imm thai has that perfect balance - tangy tamarind, just enuf sweetness and those crispy peanuts on top. reminds me why i fell in love with thai food in the first place”
“ngl no beer selection at all tho. thai food adn a cold singha go together like burgers and fries - feels like a total missed opportunity soo good”
