THE LEAD VERDICT
“teh ribeye came out with this perfect char on the outside while the inside was this warm ruby red center and honestly the contrast between the crispy crust and buttery inside was just textural perfection”
“honestly the mashed potatoes were gluey which was disappointing, like they definitely overworked them and it created this sticky weird mouthfeel that clashed wiht the elegant steak solid”
ALSO FILED
“the osso buco was INCREDIBLE - like the meat just fell off the bone like butter and the risotto was that perfect al dente my nonna always talked about. finally someone who actually gets italian cooking”
“but for $42 for an entree i felt like three small veggies as a side was kinda stingy for what youre charging in fine dining cant complain”
“ngl the steakhouse vibe here is spot on - leather banquettes real dim lighting jazz playing in the background!!! feels like you stepped into like an old supper club or something”
“our table was way too close to the kitchen doors and servers kept brushing past during dinner rush which was annoying”
“went at 930pm on a thursday and the atmosphere was perfect for a late dinner dimmed lights quiet crowd and the kitchen was still crushing it, my duck breast came out perfect medium rare”
“the bar area gets really loud earlier in the evening which makes it hard to actually talk if youre trying to have like a nice intimate dinner”
“love that theyre open til 11 on weekends perfect for when you want a real steak dinner after 9pm. the ribeye was cooked exactly to my medium-rare”
“for real service totally slowed down after 930pm took like almost 25 minutes just to get our check when we wanted to leave solid”
“their osso buco is like a beautiful homage to the milanese version meat fell off the bone with just a fork and the gremolata on top has that bright fresh finish my nonna would actually appreciate”
“teh risotto underneath was too loose like basically soupy and it was missing THAT proper mantecatura technique thing that makes it actually creamy”
“the 8oz filet mignon literally looked like a work of art - beautiful sear marks on it and the roasted vegetables were so bright and vibrant like magazine spread level stuff”
“ngl our corner table had pretty rough lighting for photos, even with night mode going hard on my phone i couldnt get a goood shot”
“the pan seared halibut was flawlessly done like the fish flaked beautifully and you could tell it was stored right, had that sweet clean flavor that only really fresh seafood has”
“the lobster bisque tasted like it came straight from a base not made from scratch at all, missing that deep complex shellfish flavor you expect to pay for”
