“teh lunch menu actually offers decent value for a hotel restaurant - 28 bucks for a well-made salmon dish with good sides in the middle of downtown. honestly quality ingredients without the typical hotel markup no joke”
“dinner prices jump way up from lunch, same salmon goes for almost double the cost just because it's after 5 PM”
“they actually had some heat in their spice-rubbed chicken - not nashville hot obviously but solid warmth with good flavor complexity. so like rare to find actual seasoning in hotel dining idk”
“the sides were aggressively bland, especially those roasted potatoes that apparently never met salt or pepper in their lives”
“their Chinese five-spice duck actually showed they understand the spice blend right, aromatic and complex without going overboard”
“the 'Asian-inspired' side vegetables were just regular veggies with soy sauce drizzle, felt kinda lazy”
“lemon tart was perfection silky curd with teh right tartness, crisp pastry shell and this delicate torched meringue with nice caramelization meh”
“ok but wine pairing with dessert was completely off a heavy port that just overpowered the citrus flavors idk”
“honestly their craft beer selection actually impressed me - local IPAs adn lagers that paired great with the pub-style apps!!! the beer-battered fish had that perfect crispy coating that only happens when you use actual beer in the batter”
“teh burger was overcooked and dry which is pretty inexcusable for a place charging 24 bucks for what should be a simple well-executed dish”
“beef tenderloin was insanely tender melted in my mouth”
“bread came out cold and felt LIKE it'd been sitting tehre for hours”
“yo duck confit was perfect textural contrast crispy cracking skin then silky tender meat that was warm but not dried out cant complain”
